From Saratov to the European Stage

Sergey Grigoryev-Appolonov was born in Saratov in 1987. From an early age, he studied music, piano and dance, although his professional path would initially take him far from the stage. After moving to Germany, he studied management and economics, built a successful career in the pharmaceutical industry and spent more than a decade working in international business.

Gradually, music became a way for him to move beyond the corporate role. Vocal training, to which Sergey devoted more and more time, eventually evolved from a personal passion into a new profession — opening the door to an entirely different life.

Finding His Own Voice

The first works released under the name Grey Wiese appeared online as covers and musical experiments. In 2017, he released Who Are You, followed in 2018 by the English-language album #beyourself, centred on the search for identity and the freedom of self-expression.

Over time, Grey Wiese developed a distinctive artistic style in which voice, fashion, movement and visual storytelling exist as a single language. His performances are built around more than music alone: they are stage narratives shaped by image, choreography, costume, lighting and an emotional connection with the audience.

03

An Artist Without Borders

Paris has become an essential part of Grey Wiese’s creative world. It is here that his striking aesthetic — haute couture, heels, expressive silhouettes and theatricality — found a natural extension on stage.

His artistic strength lies in the ability to combine musicality with a powerful visual presence. Grey Wiese does more than perform songs: he creates atmosphere, commands the attention of the room with ease and transforms each performance into a personal show where elegance meets self-irony and spectacle is balanced by sincerity.

Two Sold-Out European Shows

In 2026, Grey Wiese took to two landmark European stages — and both concerts played to sold-out audiences.

21 May 2026 — Paris, Casino de Paris

His first major Paris show brought together live music, dancers, carefully designed staging and couture looks.

20 September 2026 — Berlin, Admiralspalast

The Berlin concert continued the European chapter of the project and once again filled the venue.

The two sold-out performances in Paris and Berlin marked an important step in his development as an independent artist and demonstrated that the stage universe Grey Wiese has created can thrive far beyond social media.

A Public Creative Life

Today, Grey Wiese brings together music, performance, fashion and digital culture. An international audience of millions follows his travels, looks and everyday life, but social media is no longer the destination — it has become an extension of his creative world.

Behind the apparent ease lies professional discipline, constant work on music and content, and a quality that is increasingly rare in contemporary public culture — instant recognisability.

Grey Wiese has created a visual and stage language that is unmistakably his own. And it is precisely his ability to remain himself — bold, musical and unconcerned with fitting into conventional expectations — that has become one of the defining qualities of his artistic identity.
